I hope this has been a special weekend for you. On Saturday, we took you to the zoo with the whole family to celebrate. On Sunday, we went to your daddy's family gathering for a cousin who lost his life several years ago due to a domestic voilence situation then over to Omi's to open up your gifts from Omi and Opa. Today (your official birthday), we are going out to eat. Your brother picked out your gift especially for you. Mommy could not change his mind and boy does he know you because he picked out your favorite princess because of the color. Of course, mommy had to be the practical one and get items you need for school (clothing - pants mainly). You have chosen to go to Olive Garden to celebrate with your family. We did invite Omi, Opa, Grandma, and Grandpa; however, Omi and Opa won't be able to make it because they have been eating out a lot and Opa tummy is giving him problems.
At school, you told me they celebrated your birthday on Friday by singing "Happy Birthday to You" and you got to chose a toy. Therefore, you have been celebrating this whole weekend.
Mommy and daddy love you very much and you have made our lives even better in the last 8 years. Enjoy your day.
